Morton Magnet, a district wide magnet center that serves over 700 students in grades 5, 6, 7 and 8. In addition to a staff commitment to assisting every child to succeed and excel in a caring and committed environment, they also offer a unique decision making sciences program. This program, modeled after the Stanford University Decision Science program, encourages students to act and think strategeically in the decisions they make on a daily basis. Morton Magnet MSLC provides tutoring from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m., monthly field trips, weekly movies as well as a hot snack. After school programming is on every school day from 2:45 p.m. until 6 p.m. The partnering organization for the Morton Magnet after school program is the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands.
"Middle School Learning Center Initiative provides opportunities for all students who may need just a little extra to be successful at school. Morton Magnet Middle School is excited for what our after school program has given to Morton students."
